Volunteers are an integral part of Employment for Seniors! Our volunteers are critical to our mission, serving mature job seekers in Central Ohio. As a non-profit organization we are expanding to meet the needs of individuals, 50 years of age and older, in need of job search assistance. For over 40 years we have assisted thousands of mature job seekers through the dedication and excellent work of our volunteers and staff.
Our volunteers provide a variety of services, including job counseling, media outreach, communications, fund raising/development and employer relations. We welcome your interest and hope you can join us in this exciting journey, helping seniors throughout the community.

An essential qualification to becoming a volunteer counselor is enjoying a working environment which focuses upon daily connections with EFS clients. You also must be willing to donate one four hour block of time, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. each week (Monday through Friday) as needed by the EFS office. Experience in management or supervision, and in interviewing and working with employees through your own past employment is very helpful.
