Columbus State Community College
Columbus State’s Workforce Development Center provides (non-credit) computer courses to help you learn the basics of using a computer (word processing, email, internet). Course cost: $55. Groundwork Group is a nonprofit organization that provides technology services and programs. They have computer training programs which range from basic to advanced levels in Word, Mail Merge, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and more. It can be difficult to have up-to-date software on your computer due to cost. There is a site that provides free software, www.openoffice.org This software is a viable alternative to more expensive programs, however, it is not the leading brand names. Check it out so that you can keep up with current technology!
