WHAT IS EMPLOYMENT FOR SENIORS?

EFS is a resource offering a virtually untapped source of capable, willing, reliable and personally screened people who possess a wide variety of skills and experience. It is governed by a board of trustees consisting of leading civic, business, senior citizen and educational representatives.

HOW IS EFS FINANCED?

EFS is a private nonprofit organization founded in 1972 by Julian Marcus and supported entirely by contributions from businesses, individuals and foundations. The services of EFS are free to both seniors and employers.

HOW IT WORKS

Employers with full or part-time job openings list them with EFS through a volunteer counselor or in writing to the office.

Seniors seeking employment also register with EFS providing background on their skills, experience and availability.

EFS then matches the employer requirements with with the seniors skills and schedule to meet the needs of each.
